West Slaithwaite C of E School
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
West Slaithwaite National School, Crow Trees Road originated as a school held in a cottage at Boothbanks from 1849. The school in Crow Trees Road was built in c1859 - 1981 and enlarged in 1898 - 1900. The school was also used for Anglican services in the late 19th century and became known as West Slaithwaite Church of England School. The school closed in 1989.
