Thornhill Edge Independent Methodist Church
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
Formerly known as Thornhill Edge Gospel Pilgrims and also Thornhill Edge Christion Bretheren.
Established 1836, using David Ramsden’s house in High Street for meetings.
Chapel built between Edge Junction and Judy Haigh Lane 1842.
New chapel built near to old one at Edge Junction 1867-68.
Sunday School built on Judy Haigh Lane (behind new chapel and next to old one) 1881-82.
Closed 1987.
