Springwood and Greenhead Community Association
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
Springwood and Greenhead Community Association formed in 1983. One of its aims was to establish and maintain a community centre. However, the Association was never able to acquire anywhere suitable. In 1987 - 1988 they were considering leasing and converting a former TV relay station in Old South Street but eventually decided not to do so. The Association was dissolved in 1990 due to lack of support for it in the area.
These records are held by WYAS Kirklees, collection reference KC596.
