Skelmanthorpe Zion Wesleyan Reform Union Church

Established by Wesleyan Reformers who seceded from Central Wesleyan Methodist Church c.1849.

Used Town School in Pilling Lane for services.

Chapel built in Gib Lane 1854.

Sunday School built behind chapel 1913-14.

Old chapel demolished 1924-25 and new chapel built on same site 1926.

Still in existence 2009.

N.B. This church never became part of the United Methodist Free Churches.
