It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
Also known as Shelley Bank Bottom Methodist New Connexion Church.
Now called Shelley Methodist Church.
Established 1797 when all but one of congregation of Shelley Bank Bottom Wesleyan Methodist Church seceded to the New Connexion; continued to use chapel at Far Bank.
Sunday School established c.1804; used Town School in Huddersfield Road after it was built 1808.
Sunday School moved from Town School to chapel 1835.
Sunday School built in Far Bank by entrance to lane leading to chapel 1836.
Chapel enlarged 1842.
Sunday School enlarged 1863.
Chapel enlarged 1882.
Still in existence 2009.
