Rowley Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church
Was established from the Queen Street Wesleyan Methodist Church in Huddersfield between 1884-1885. The congregation used a cottage near Rowley Hill Working Mens Club 1885-1886 and also held open-air services.
Between 1886-1887 a chapel was built in Common End Lane and a Sunday School was established in 1887.
Between 1912-1913 a Sunday School was built behind the chapel and the building was shared with the Church of England from the mid 1980s.
The church closed in 1990 and the building was sold and made into two flats; money from the sale was used to help to pay for a new Methodist church.
Records relating to this church can be found at West Yorkshire Archive Service: Kirklees office under the reference numbers KC295/69, KC448, KC513, KC901.
