The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
Also known as Deighton Methodist Church.
A Wesleyan Methodist Society existed at Deighton in 1797, this may have become the new connexion about this time. The chapel was built in Deighton Road in c1808 and a Sunday School established in 1816 using a cottage. The Sunday School was built on the opposite side of Deighton Road to the chapel in 1818 and a new chapel was built behind the old one, 1875 - 1877. The old chapel was then demolished. The Sunday School was rebuilt in 1891 and closed in 1973. The chapel was demolished in 1978. The Sunday School building is still in use as a commercial premises.
