Previously Love Lane Council Lane, Wesleyan Infants School, Love Lane Infants School,Love Lane Boys School, Love Lane Junior Mixed School, Love Lane Council Girls School and Love Lane Primary School. The earliest recorded log book for the school is dated 1863.
