Howden Clough Wesleyan Methodist Church
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
The class was established from Birstall Wesleyan Church in 1827 and began preaching services held at Howden Clough from 1863. Services were held in a room above the village reading room in Mann's Buildings from 1868. From c1870, rooms at Howden Clough Mill were used. A chapel was built in Nab Lane between 1871 - 1872 and opened in 1872, it was still in existence in 2000.
