Hemsworth U.D.C. Building Plans
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
The Parish of Hemsworth in the Rural District of Hemsworth was converted into the Urban District of Hemsworth in pursuance of The West Riding of Yorkshire (Hemsworth Urban District) Confirmation Order 1921. Hemsworth UDC was abolished under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972.
The following is a list of all surviving Hemsworth UDC building control plans (ref. WMT/HU/6). For further information about the building registers that are also available please refer to the Surveyor's Department catalogue.
