Help:Searching

1. Type your keyword in the search box on the left of any page.
2. Click Go or press Enter if you want to go straight to a page with that title; or
3. Click Search to find all the articles which contain the search term.
4. The search results will show the pages with titles which match or include your search term first; then it displays links to pages which include your search term in the text.
5. You can move through the pages of results by clicking on next and previous links.
6. Click on the search result you want to explore.

The simple search will only search for main articles. If you want to explore other namespaces such as Talk pages and User pages you can either tick the relevant boxes on the bottom of the hits page or edit your user settings once you have registered and logged in.

If you can't find any articles on the topic you are searching for you may want to explore the WYAS website www.archives.wyjs.org.uk or the WYAS online catalogue catalogue.wyjs.org.uk.
