Fartown Trinity Wesleyan Methodist Church
The following source list was originally available only on paper in one of the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices. It may have been compiled many years ago and could be out of date. It was designed to act as a signpost to records of interest on a particular historical subject, but may relate only to one West Yorkshire district, or be an incomplete list of sources available.
Established from Huddersfield Queen Street Wesleyan Methodist Church 1879-1880 using a rented room. A chapel was built in Waspnest Road 1880-1881 and opened in 1881. The Sunday School was also established in 1881 and a Sunday School was built in Spaines Road behind the chapel in 1889-1890. [1]. The chapel was demolished and the Sunday School converted into a chapel and hall c1971-1974. The church is still in existence in 2009.
